Career Coaching & Development

Career development rarely follows a straight path. Many women reach a point where their work no longer feels right: their roles no longer align with their own interests or values, professional demands are changing, they are about to return to work, or they feel a desire for a new direction and conscious personal development.

In coaching, we examine the professional situation in the context of individual strengths, motivation, well-being and the organisational conditions under which work takes place. In addition to questions of professional development, topics such as work-life balance, self-efficacy, mental strain or structural challenges – such as unclear roles, a lack of appreciation or experiences of discrimination – can also be addressed.

In collaboration with the INQUA Institute, I offer coaching sessions for graduates holding an AVGS voucher. Click here for information and to register – please enter the referral code KQJZX and indicate that you would like an initial consultation. COACHING SESSIONS AVAILABLE AGAIN FROM JULY 2026.

Career Assessment & Career Reorientation

A coaching process designed to reflect on your current career situation, clarify your interests, values and strengths, and develop new perspectives and viable next steps.

Career Development

For more complex situations where stress, uncertainty or structural problems persist over a longer period of time and ongoing support is helpful.

Clarifying a specific question

Not every career-related issue requires a lengthy coaching process. Often, it comes down to a specific concern: a decision to be made, a stressful situation within the team, uncertainty in a new role, or the question of how to tackle a particular challenge.

In a concise coaching format, we first clarify the actual issue at hand. It often becomes apparent that there are further aspects underlying a question that initially seems straightforward – such as expectations of oneself, uncertainties in communication, or the question of which of one’s own strengths have been underutilised so far.

Together, we examine the situation in detail and develop concrete options for action. The aim is to gain clarity and identify a next step that can be implemented in everyday working life whilst also taking one’s own needs into account.

Career Assessment & Career Reorientation

Career development rarely follows a straight path. Many women reach a point where they ask themselves whether they are still in the right field, what career opportunities suit them, or what a fresh start in their career might look like.

In coaching, we take the time to conduct a thorough self-assessment: we review your career path to date, identify your experiences, interests, values and individual strengths, and use these to develop a clearer professional profile. Insights from positive psychology help to highlight your resources, boost your self-efficacy and shift your focus not only to shortcomings but also to opportunities for growth.

This is not solely about performance or career in the traditional sense, but also about questions of well-being at work, work-life balance, and a professional role that feels right in the long term.

The outcome is a clearer understanding of your own situation – and a realistic outlook for your next career steps.

Support during challenging phases in your career

Some professional situations cannot be resolved in just a few sessions. When stress persists over a long period, conflicts recur, or structural issues in the workplace have a significant impact on your personal experience, personal development often requires more time and space.

This may involve persistent feeling of being overwhelmed, exhaustion, a sense of stagnation, or the experience of having little scope for influence within organisational structures. Issues such as a lack of appreciation, difficult relationships with managers, unclear roles, or experiences of discrimination can also significantly impair well-being in the workplace.

In coaching, we work continuously on your situation: We reflect on patterns, strengthen personal resources and develop ways to regain more freedom of action, clarity and self-determination. A strength-based coaching approach helps you to make more conscious use of existing skills and develop new perspectives on your own professional role.

The aim is not merely to resolve an acute problem, but to achieve healthy, sustainable and self-determined professional development.

Frequently asked questions

No. Many clients come to coaching with a sense that something isn’t quite right in their career, without being able to pinpoint the problem clearly. This is exactly where coaching comes in: we start by providing guidance, sorting through your thoughts and working out, step by step, what your actual concerns, needs and opportunities for development are.

Yes. Not all professional challenges can be reduced to individual skills or decisions. Often, organisational dynamics, unclear roles, stressful leadership or structural disadvantages play a part. In coaching, we take a systemic view of your situation – that is, looking at the interplay between the individual, their role and the work context – and use this to develop realistic courses of action.

My coaching is strength-based, scientifically grounded and draws on insights from coaching psychology, positive psychology and systems thinking. As a result, alongside career decisions, I also focus on topics such as well-being at work, self-efficacy, job fit and sustainable career development.

In coaching, the general principle is ‘as long as necessary, but as short as possible’. Individual issues can sometimes be resolved in just a few sessions, whilst more complex development or change processes require more time. During an initial consultation, we will work together to determine which approach is best suited to your needs.
